Scientific consensus about aging is coalescing around certain ideas and that is good. If aging is understood on the most basic level then treatments can be developed to address it. But, who has the treatments now? What are they doing? How effective are they?
The companies on the cutting age of aging medicine are many and varied, and there are (probably) some that are still somewhat secretive about what they are dong. Others however are not secretive and they are online. You can often get prescriptions done online and get the therapies you want.
These companies divide up in to two basic categories; those that sell information and diagnostic services and those that sell products.
Let’s look at a few.
Ageless RX
This company is an online pharmacy that offers a variety of anti-aging products, many of which require a prescription. I received a proscription for Metformin from them and my experience in ordering and getting the product was very good. They also sell various NAD products, skin treatments, and ‘men’s health’ products which are mostly erectile dysfunction proscriptions. Many of these products should not require a proscription, but they do, and a family physician might not support their use (mine does not, he requested I stop taking Metformin) and one might not want to talk about these issues with a family doctor.
What they say about themselves: Our Team of Longevity Experts is dedicated to bringing you the latest and most effective longevity treatments.
Ageless RX fills the gap between what you can get from traditional physicians and what you might want. Aubrey de Grey is on their advisory board.
BioViva
Unlike Ageless RX, BioViva is an ‘informatics’ company which means they sells tests so you can gauge your level of aging and develop metrics. They can test for a variety of things, from general aging to specific measures like vitamin D deficiency.
What they say about themselves: BIOVIVA’S patent pending technology will revolutionize gene therapy delivery. Our bioinformatics platform and the BioKeeper™ Vault will contribute to health predictions and recommendations, precision medicine, and the discovery of novel biomarkers. Helping us create even better therapies for you in the future!
Look for the first, easy to use, data base for disease specific information coming soon. BioViva will soon be welcoming the CodeKeeper! A powerful tool to put open source genetics into your hands.
Aubrey de Grey is on the board of this company as well, and I’ve heard the CEO, Elizabeth Parrish, on the Dave Asbury podcast. Interesting company with the Timekeeper, as they call it which is an epigenetic test meant to capture your ‘real’ age.
Cenegenics
Cenegenics provides evaluation of your health markers and then proscribes treatments which they provide. It is a holistic program with prescriptions for diet, nutrition, supplements and hormone therapies. The hormone therapies are the part of Cenegenics that require a doctor to proscribe, so as a program, it’s an intensive personal coaching system which leads to a more medical approach.
What they say about themselves: Cenegenics uses extensive lab results to review essential biomarkers. This allows our physicians and member success team to evaluate your personal nutrition and exercise, supplementation and prescription treatment plans.
The objectives of the Program are to improve these biomarkers and drive optimal health. Ultimately this means reduced disease risk, increased energy, more restful sleep, improved mental acuity, increased desire and helping our members manage their weight.
Note that Cenegenics is not a web based company; you have to go to their offices so there has to be one near you to participate. It is not inexpensive either; this is not do-it-yourself medicine. My personal take on this is that it’s not for someone who is trying to manage their health of their own.
Inside Tracker
Like BioViva, Inside Tracker is primarily a testing company but they mix information taken from devices, like a FitBit, in order to customize the medical advice they give. They are a bit like Cenegenics, but they don’t do hormones and you don’t have to be in person to use their services.
What they say about themselves: Founded in 2009 by experts in aging, genetics and biometric data, from Harvard, MIT and Tufts, science is the backbone of InsideTracker. We believe the most impactful science and technology products result from constant learning. And so, we always are.
The algorithm that drives the InsideTracker platform is continuously refined, drawing on cutting-edge research and technological advances. It’s smart and ever-evolving, just like your body is. But we’re more than machines. We build and grow our products using both innovative technology and the human brain power of our accomplished scientific team.

Juvenescence
This company sells primarily products including a ketone boosting supplement called Metabolic Switch.
What they say about themselves: At Juvenescence, we’re on a mission to transform what aging means to the world. Science around aging is accelerating at an extraordinary pace, so we’ve set out to further that science and disrupt the thinking and behavior around aging. That’s why we built a coalition of the best scientists, physicians, and investors to create cutting-edge therapies and products that will empower people to chart their own path forward. So we’re not just reimagining what it means to get older — we’re committed to helping you reimagine your lifetime.
CellTex
This company does stem cell injections made from your own cells. It is a medical procedure company that extracts tissue from your body in the Unite4d Sates and then you must travel to Cancun, Mexico, to have the stem cells injected in to your body.
They claim to treat a variety of conditions including autoimmune disorders and injuries.
What they say about themselves: If you are searching for answers to your chronic condition, Celltex invites you to look inside your body. Celltex can help improve your quality of life by harnessing the power of millions of your own stem cells to improve your general wellness or to relieve a wide range of chronic conditions.
